About the JCT Exam

What is JLCT (日本語能力試験)?

JLCT is a test that stands for the Japanese Language Capability Test. It is used to measure the Japanese language skills of non-native speakers of Japanese. It has five levels: JCT1, JCT2, JCT3, JCT4, and JCT5.

The test assesses Japanese language skills in three main areas for each level:

1) Japanese Language Knowledge: This section tests your understanding of Japanese characters, vocabulary, and grammar.

2) Comprehension Reading: In this section, you will read passages and answer questions to test your understanding of written Japanese.

3) Listening: This section assesses your ability to understand spoken Japanese by listening to conversations or recordings.

In addition to these sections, there are also specific tests available for nursing care called JCT nursing care 3 and JCT nursing care 4.

The JLCT test is conducted by The Incorporated Federation of Japanese Language Capability Testing Organization for Non-native Japanese, which operates under its parent organization, The Federation of Japanese Kanji Association (President S. Tanaka).

To summarize, JLCT is a test to evaluate how well non-native speakers of Japanese can communicate in the language. It includes sections on language knowledge, reading comprehension, and listening skills. It is administered by an organization that focuses on testing Japanese language proficiency.

Tokyo International Education Institute focuses on helping students prepare for this test and improve their Japanese language skills.
